The CAD-Scan Connection  CONVERTS TWO MAJOR TYPES OF MEDIA :

PAPER:     mechanical drawings, contour  maps, blueprints, etc. that have been scanned, digitized for computer viewing; and, saved in raster format  (tif, jpeg, pct, gif, bmp, etc.) for conversion.

MICROGRAPHICS:  microfilm, microfiche and aperture cards that have been scanned, digitized for computer viewing; and, saved in digital formats   (tif, jpeg, pct, gif, bmp, etc.) for conversion.

The CAD-Scan Connection provides a variety of solutions in both raster and vector formats as outlined below.  PLUS , we provide unique approaches to hybrid solutions!

RASTER

• Save  files in various file formats (uncompressed and compressed [i.e.; .tif, .jpeg, bmp, etc.]).

• Edit raster information (deskew [alignment], despeckle [remove noise], mirror image, copy, crop, invert negatives, etc.) on the same sheet.

• Combine multi-raster (paper) drawings into one sheet (layers transparent, with each layer color  coded).

CONVERSION TO:

VECTOR

(CAD DRAWINGS)

• Convert to CAD-perfect files (AutoCAD, MicroStation, ArcGIS Solid Edge, etc.), as shown above (with layers, scale, linetype).  Fully quality controlled.

• Autovectorization: raster files converted to CAD files (.dwg, .dgn, etc.); no editing, layering or scaling.

• AIA Layering Guidelines available.

AND

HYBRID DRAWINGS

(RASTER + VECTOR)

• Combine raster and vector files into one file.

• Separate text and graphics in the raster file--vectorizing only the graphics and treating the hybrid drawing as a CAD file.  Ask about our unique solutions.
